Shared booking information

For events with information shared across all attendees in a booking — enter it once, applies to all.

For some events, in addition to collecting unique information from each attendee, you'll also be collecting the same information from each attendee within a single booking.

You might be running a sports event, or a quiz night, and everyone within that booking is part of the same team. Or it might be a camp for children where you need to collect emergency contact details, and some of those bookings will be for siblings where that information is the same for each of them.

Rather than entering the same information repeatedly for each attendee — risking typos and unnecessary frustration — you can now set a section on the form so it only needs to be entered once. It will then be applied to all attendees within that booking.

Setting things up

When you get to the "Attendee info" page, you'll see a section called "Shared booking information":

Use this to create sections and fields as needed. In this case, we're running an orienteering event called "Big Day Out" and need some details about the team and an emergency contact:

How it looks when registering

The first person to register within a booking will see the "Shared booking information" fields and fill them in:

Subsequent attendees will see the shared booking information collapsed:

but will be able to click and see it:

If they edit any of these fields, that will be saved across the booking.

Viewing this information within Lil Regie administration

As the shared booking information applies to the whole booking, you can find and edit it within the "Booking" tab. Here we can see the booking, containing two attendees:

And when clicking into the booking, you can see the shared details:
