Just like our integration with Mailchimp, connecting your Lil Regie event to Campaign Monitor lets you make use of their email and marketing automation to more easily engage with your attendees.

To connect, you will first need to set up a Campaign Monitor account; if you haven't got one, you can sign up here.

Then back at Lil Regie, navigate to the Advanced tab for your event, and select ‘Mailing Lists’ from the side navigation:

Click on the "Create Campaign Monitor mailing list" button, and you'll be taken to a page where you'll be asked to sign-in to connect Lil Regie with your Campaign Monitor account.

From there, you can name your mailing list, and specify which fields you'd like to share between the two sites. (There are a lot to choose from!)

Hit "Create List" and your details will start to sync to Campaign Monitor.

Selecting the mailing list link will show you the details of the synced fields:

(It’s worth noting that if you need to make any tweaks to your list, you’ll need to create a new one! This is to prevent any syncing issues.)

Over at Campaign Monitor, my list has been synced, and appears under the Lists and Subscribers menu. Any previous registrations that have been made are pulled through:

Selecting the subscriber address gives greater detail:

From here you can create a new Campaign and design your group emails and communications with this group in mind!

There are a few things to note when using Lil Regie and Campaign Monitor:

  • If you delete a list from Campaign Monitor, you cannot recreate this through re-syncing at the Lil Regie end; a new list must be created, using the steps outlined above.

  • If your Lil Regie event has multiple eventlets, these will be automatically sent to Campaign Monitor.

  • If your Lil Regie event has multiple Attendee or Ticket types, these will also automatically be sent to Campaign Monitor.

  • Changing details of your audience within Campaign Monitor - for example changing the name of a field - can cause problems when re-syncing back with Lil Regie. So it’s best to avoid changing custom field settings in Campaign Monitor.

There are lots of useful ways Campaign Monitor can integrate with Lil Regie; for example you might want to contact everyone who has specific dietary requirements, or you might want to send some follow-up information to people who attended a particular workshop.

If you need any further help with Campaign Monitor they have an extensive knowledge base, otherwise we’re happy to help with any questions you may have at the Lil Regie side of things!
